The journey to our dystopian present began with the publication of the Communist Party Manifesto in 1848. Woodrow Wilson institutionalized it and Franklin Delano Roosevelt tried to make it our “New Bill of Rights”.

Some of its goals:

Replace parents with the state.

Rewrite history to adapt it to the Marxist narrative.

Nowhere has the takeover of power by leftists been more evident than in all levels of education. The leadership of the teachers‘ unions is driven by the Marxist utopian dream, a thirst for power and large-scale personal financial gain.

These union dues give teachers unions extraordinary influence and power. Dues are used to finance the campaigns of left-wing candidates who bow to the wishes of their union masters. Everyone knows that unions control our elected officials in Sacramento who fund and run the California Department of Education. You can be sure that there is never a freedom-loving constitutional scholar among them. Elected officials and the CDE define program requirements and approve textbooks that indoctrinate the Marxist agenda. Textbooks are published to serve only the lowest common denominator. There is no doubt that our children are stupid. Core Mathematics does not require a correct answer. The story is being rewritten to be consistent with the manifesto’s agenda.

The school boards have been bought out. Almost all of the board members received funds and their marching orders from the union.

What is also revealing is what is not taught. No more in-store courses that will prepare a student for non-academic vocations. Numerous studies have shown that learning to play an instrument is essential in abstract reasoning and brain development. Of course, most music lessons are gone. Gone are the days of teaching American civics and our founding principles.

Today, the Orwellian Ministry of Truth is overworked. Few are aware of the murderous intolerance of Marxism. We see this intolerance on our campuses and during the BLM street insurgencies. The shocking part is the lack of response from our public officials (the true believers?). Now that the left has power, they step into the light to proclaim their opposing worldview.

We cannot expect the voice of freedom to come from government. It must come from you. It’s up to the people to turn the tide and it must start with education. It starts with bringing the choice of school to California.
